Designed for active, hard-charging dogs when extra sole protection is needed. This boot has a recycled tire sole, about 50% thicker than the Durable dog boots, but is flexible and rugged. This dog shoe is designed for hunters, urban settings, on asphalt or concrete, snow, and protection from salt in the winter. A must-have for your dog hiking gear. The side seams expand, making it easy to put on the boot. Two Velcro straps with slides fasten the boots in place and cover foam pads that cushion the paw and create a secure grip. These boots are guaranteed to stay on when properly sized and periodically tightened. The boot is made of water-resistant nylon, the toe is wrapped in PVC, and the sole is a recycled tire. To extend the life of the boots, apply Shoe Goo or a similar product to patch small holes in the sole that can appear with wear. Some users will pre-apply Shoe goo in extreme situations. To clean the boots loosely fasten Velcro closure, wash in cold water delicate cycle; hang to air dry. These are a great addition to your dog apparel & accessories. Available in red, black, or orange, in four sizes so you can coordinate your dog clothes with one of these colors.
EVERYTHING DOG BOOTIES Patented design that includes high-density foam ensures the best fit when velcro straps are tight and secured. Use outdoors on hot pavement, hiking paths or indoor use on hardwood floors.

I bought these boots for my 50 lb labradoodle who loves to be outside in the freezing cold and snow, but gets the snowballs and salt between his toes which burn his pads. I looked for boots last winter but couldn't find any that seemed they would work, the reviews were all so-so. When I saw these, though, where they are "GUARANTEED TO STAY ON", I figured I'd give them a try.I use these in ice and snow conditions and even in deep snow with a crusty top, they have not yet come off! I'd say we've gone about 20-25 miles in them since we got them and never once have I had to adjust or anything. I've also used them on super cold days at the dog park with no issues. They don't twist around on his feet and there's no sign of wear on the bottom (we don't really use them on pavement much though, mostly snow and ice and sidewalks). When I first put them on he walked really funny in the house, but as soon as we got outside he forgot about them and walked/ran normally. The bottom of the boot is rubber, providing decent traction. My dog gets groomed regularly so his nails never get too long, not sure how long they'd last against pavement with long nails, just something to consider. Finally, one of the reviews on this site mentioned these boots not working for a dog whose paws are at "right angles" to his legs. My dog's paws are definitely like that, they look like kitty paws and the ankle is definitely not gradual. Across and straight up. Even still, I've had no issues at all with these boots. So if that's a concern I would still try them.I suggest going to the Ultra Paws website for sizing information, as they give you a bit more detail about sizing and how to take the measurement, and also instruct to leave 1/4" easement which is not on the amazon info.Editing this review on 12/30/2016 - two years later -- I STILL have these boots, we still use them all winter! They STILL have never come off my dog's feet. The velcro is starting to get a little worn, so I'm considering buying a new pair for next winter. Three winters of heavy use, still no complaints. Durable and great design!
