Fit is perfect, however I have boston terrier with a corkscrew tail so the tail hole doesn't work well with her tail. I do not think this is because of the diaper. Her measurements put her between sizes, but she has a small waist so I went with the smaller size and it's perfect. They are super absorbent, so if I don't get her outside in time I don't have a mess in my house. We only use these at night because she won't wake me when she needs to go so I don't know how they would be with an active dog. From what I see I think they would be just fine for daytime and play though.Fit on my dog perfectIf you have a smaller dachshund, the leg holes will be to big and will have to find a way to close the gaps. I had to get a medium and it fits perfect except in the legs. Other than that seems like it will work well.I only gave it three stars because the diaper is easy to clean, great absorbency, and is comfortable for my dog. My boxer is going into heat and needed the diapers to keep the blood off my carpet when the time comes.The sizing is wrong I followed the measurements exactly and it is still big (the waist) on my dog so when I go to velcro the diaper together the flaps loosen (picture 1). Ive tried everything from tucking in the flaps to readjusting the Velcro straps and still ends up like this. It’ll hold but shouldn’t happen.Boxers don’t have big fluffy butts like other dogs so butt area is also big. When I put the diaper on it slides down to the area I’m trying to protect. It would probably hold up if she had a tail but she’s docked. I’ve tried to pull up the diaper higher on her waist and tighten the straps so her nub can stay in the tail hole but the hole still goes to the area I’m trying to protect.I’m overall not satisfied with the diapers from my experience. I’m sure the diapers would work great with a fluffy dog with a tail. I would recommend that no short haired docked breed not purchase this product.These are nice but probably need an additional liner. My old girl wasn't happy about wearing them though and peed more.My dog is used to wearing clothes, so putting this on her, she didn't really fight to have it off. I enjoy the comfort of knowing she isn't going to mark her territory in a friends house. She did try once, and the diaper held it pretty well! I washed it in the sink before throwing it in the washer. This is going to save me so much money! LOVE ITAt first I didn’t think these would fit because they are a small, I just had to adjust a little bit and then they were a perfect fit. Mickey is mostly unhappy about the tail opening. As he’s getting used to the diaper he does want to chew in the crotch area, so I will have to do a couple of alterations for those areas but other than that it’s doing what it needs to do!I was skeptical about whether or not this would actually work on a (male) cat and so far it does.These do an awesome job. Only once did the diaper leak and I can’t blame the diaper. The diaper held more than could be expected, the puppy had apparently had waaaaay too much to drink before bed that night. We have let the dog out, by accident, a few with the diaper still on... it holds #2, but it’s a mess to clean off of the dog! (Ours needed a bath.) So, I can say that it will contain a poo, but you’ll still have a mess to clean! The puppy has never removed it on her own and doesn’t seem bothered by wearing it. It did fall off a couple of times when she was younger, but it was user error (we needed to go tighter). The Velcro has held up and has allowed us to use the same diaper as she’s grown. We call these her “Daisy Dukes”.Very satisfied with this product, my 13year old dog has become Urinary incontinent and these pads ar a godsend, keep her dry and comforableEven although i bough the correct size for my dog they keep falling off. Totally useless so threw them away.The diaper holds a fair amount of pee , my old dog isn't bothered by wearing it .it is easy to hand clean but you will need several to allow for drying timegreat product good fit for my toy dogs, does the jobGood quality and fits well.
