Bought this for the pup to tie dye! My dog is about 28 pounds, but broad chested and shorter legs- Pug-like but a little bigger. I bought an XL because of her girth but it is just a little too big. I thought it would shrink but the L probably would have been fine. My friend's dog is a 10mos golden retriever and I got her the 3XL which was a perfect size!My little dog is old and blind, and since she’s been blind she has a lot of anxiety and will chew on herself. So I purchased this garment to cover her skin and help prevent her from damaging herself. I also have her wearing an inflatable collar when at home. Her hair has grown back, and her skin has healed in the areas where she had been chewing since wearing this garment. I’ve purchased several for her so I always have a clean one on hand for her.I gave 4 stars instead of 5 because she has gotten both her front and rear legs out of the garment several times, rendering the garment useless and causing the dog to trip when she tries to walk. So the design is flawed in so much as it should have elastic along the edges, which would prevent a dog from easily getting their legs out of this garment.It’s very light weight just like a baby T-shirt. My 25lb Cavalier wears a XL. The cuffs were the only part that was too big. I added a little elastic the cuffs and now they’re perfect. The length of the legs are great for reduced shedding, it keeps his hair stay tangle free, PLUS, morning potty breaks don’t result in brushing & blow drying.The Velcro down the belly was bothering him so I removed it and just sewed it shut.Love them!!Best Jammie’s ever. Even my little guy loves them.My pup suffers from alopecia. To protect his skin from the sun, he wears onesies while outside. This is t-shirt like material, easy to put on and take off. Do size up! Will likely buy a couple more in different colors.Great product, but he didn't like it. Actually ate the back legs off of it to get it off. But a nice product. Make sure to measure or order size up. Nice soft item overall.The stiff, wide band of Velcro down the belly was a deal-breaker for me. Besides seeming uncomfortable for a small poodle who likes to curl up in a ball, I can see this easily losing its “stick” or coming off in no time, as other reviewers have pointed out. I much prefer the large plastic snaps. Returning.It’s soft and stretchy but wouldn’t stay on my dog. Her back legs kept coming out. Only order if your dog likes clothes and won’t mess with them.This suit is a life saver it’s the second one we have brought. My dog has had a metal plate inserted in his hind leg and the first suit we had saved us from him having to wear a collar which he is terrified of. He is now due to have his other leg done and brought a bigger size and a lighter colour as we are going through warmer months. This recovery suit is just perfect easy to put on don’t have to remove when going for toilet and warm and cosy to sleep in as the shave all his hair from his back end. Reasonable price and washableI rated this 4 stars because the fabric was thinner than expected but other than the fact I ordered a size too large it was very good. It has washed extremely well. I had hoped it would shrink, but even after tumble drying it didn’t, which is usually a good thing! I did find that the hind legs were cut a bit low but ordinarily that would be ok, I just needed it to cover more of the upper leg so my dog couldn’t a lick a surgical wound. If I was buying this as pjs I’d definitely buy again but in the correct size next time. In my defence the size I needed was sold out. Generally a good buy for a light weight garment. Would definitely recommend.Purchased to prevent my dog licking a stitched laceration on his rear leg. If the wound is on the inside of the stifle joint, this product won’t prevent access. Nice soft fabric, some stretch and not too hot for a hairy dog. Worth the investment!very soft and comfortable , dog has found this most comfortableLoved it fits perfect and looks expensive. Very happy with it x
